Our Parish Moto is “TO LIVE AND SHARE THE JOY OF THE GOSPEL.” In focusing on the joy of the Gospel, we want to recognize one of the gifts GOD has given us during these difficult times: FAMILY. We recognize it has not always been comfortable or easy, this time in quarantine has provided many opportunities to be still, to spend time struggling with one another, and to pray together.
First, we want our formation for our children and youth to be life giving to families, allowing you and your family to continue to share the joy of the gospel with one another!
Second, we do not want to put any burdens on your family during this time. We believe to support you and your family the faith formation opportunities need to be flexible. We have also considered many families with special needs or special circumstances in our model. Following this logic, our immediate preparation for sacraments, both 1st Sacraments and Confirmation, need to be precise and engaging.
Finally, we also need to recognize that there will be those who are ready to come back in person as soon as possible and there will be those who, for health and family situation reasons may not come back on property for a time. We need to provide formation in the faith with joy and support for all families. We hope this will allow families to participate in living and sharing the joy of the gospel together as we journey through this formation year.
At this time Faith Formation will for KIDs Club, EDGE & Life Teen will be the following:
Family Nights: Each month KIDs Club, EDGE & Life Teen families will participate in a family theme night based on a form of prayer from 6:30-7:30pm on a Sunday evening. Families can join us for on site or by live stream. We will begin with 200 for our first Family Night, which is 25% capacity of the Church and increase as we can. Those who are registered for Faith Formation will be sent the link to sign up to attend live (Sign-up Genius) and the link to live stream each month.
KIDs Club: There will be a pick-up of your KIDs Club bag with your book and supplies for the semester. This bag will stay with each child at home or when they come to class. We will have a once a month class session on Sunday mornings. We hope to come on ground soon. When we can have classes on ground, we will continue to have the recorded teaching segment available for those families who continue to learn from home.
EDGE: Along with Family Nights, the young people will meet once a month on a Wednesday evening from 7-8:15pm. When possible, we will begin having sessions on ground, however, we will continue to live stream the sessions for those at home. EDGE plans to continue to have a relational ministry model, whether it be in person or virtually.
Life Teen: Life Teen will also include the Family Nights. The young people will also meet once a month on a Sunday evening from 6:30-8PM.
