The Prayer Ministry at St. Cecilia Catholic Community includes many opportunities to
fullfil your need for God within Church, home, or societal settings. Currently, we offer:
- Eucharistic Adoration -
Pray in the Chapel 24 hours a day Monday through Friday. Please choose your hour. Contact David Klausmeyer at dklausmeyer@comcast.net or 713-872-8947. Learn more by joining the Jeremiahs 33:3 Program - Which one is your hour for intimate encounter with Jesus Christ in "Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration". We invite you to help us with our project called “Jeremiahs 33:3”. Its mission is to encourage people to sign-up for only three (3) hours of Eucharistic Adoration anytime from January 13 to February 14, 2010, and experience the many blessing received when we spend just one hour a week with Jesus.
The objective is to fill all hours in the schedule for Perpetual Adoration, beginning with a individual commitment of 3 hours during this 33 days period.  You can participate by downloading our file, picking your hour, filling in your name at the appropriate time in the spreadsheet, saving it, and then forwarding it as an attachment in your email to Jorge Cardenas at jcardenasrdz@sbcglobal.net. We really do need your help! Thank you!
- St. Cecilia Holy Spirit Prayer Group - We meet every Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Bride's Room in the Church. You
may contact Kate Signorelli at 713-464-4760 for more information.
- Prayer and Life Workshop - Held on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m., the program runs for 15 weeks and
its moderators are Mario and Freda Guajardo. Prayer and Life Workshop is a Lay Apostolate approved by the Vatican and
created by Fr. Ignacio Larrañagga, a Capuchin Franciscan. In the Prayer and Life Workshop, the faithful learn step by step how to enter into
a personal relationship with the Lord. A variety of prayer methods are introduced which eventually lead the faithful to the heights of
contemplative prayer. Once the faithful experience and complete the fifteen weeks, they will choose for their daily prayer the ones that best suit their own personal
spirituality from among the varied prayer methods offered. Prayer and Life Workshop is open to anyone, of any faith or denomination
who sincerely seeks a relationship with God. Please call Mr. Guajardo at 713-467-3649 for more information. You can also visit the Prayer and Life Workshop
website at www.tovpil.org.
- Mothers In Faith - A religious book study group led by Melissa Martin. Contact the Church office if you would like
more information.
