Fr. Victor Perez

St. Cecilia has a new Parochial Vicar – and we mean new!  Fr. Victor was ordained on June 4, 2011 and St. Cecilia is his first parish assignment.  Fr. Victor was born in Dallas, TX and at the age of nine moved to Mandeville, LA.  Three years later, in the middle of sixth grade, he moved to Katy, TX.  He was an altar server at St. John Vianney parish and in high school, moved to Epiphany of the Lord where he was confirmed. His home parish, however, is St. Bartholomew where his family moved while he was in college. He played tennis in high school for the "blue" mustangs at Taylor H.S., where his team placed second in state during his senior year. He attended college at University of Texas at Austin where he majored in business. During his third year of college, after studying abroad in Spain and growing significantly in his faith, he discerned a call to the priesthood and left UT to pursue his vocation. He attended Holy Trinity Seminary at the University of Dallas and then St. Mary's Seminary in Houston. In his spare time he enjoys spending time in prayer, spending time with friends, exercising, listening to and sometimes playing music, reading, watching EWTN, the news, and classic movies. He is blessed to have his family nearby, his sister and brother-in-law in Katy and his parents in Bellville. Fr. Victor looks forward to serving us as much as we look forward to welcoming him to our St. Cecilia family.
